Oh, I know it's been a while... I thought I heard a shot! Though, in all sincerity... I must express my doubts. The first thing that I heard... When I got back in town... "Hey, Hombre! Don't I know you...?" Yeah... I'm the boy you thought was dead. ... So take me down with you. Oh, come on you gotta'. I'll do these things to you... I still can't see ya' two-feet in front of me... But I can hear you ripping through the door! Do you know what this is...? Some people lie for it. ... So maybe, I'll try my luck. Yeah... And maybe, I'll die for it. ... So take me down with you. Oh, come on you gotta'. I'll do these things to you... I still can't see ya' two-feet in front of me... But I can hear you ripping through the door!

about

Once upon a time, there was a small collective of young musicians somewhere in the desert who would share ideas along with the stage. One such band was a duo not unlike the Dead Gear, but if the Gear was a sort of mercurial machine, this pair - naturally named for it's members - was a much different mechanism...

The TJ & Chad Duo delivered raw yet often progressive chants with a fervor never quite matched by later incarnations or additional members. With this energy, just two young artists were able to shake a packed room loose using nimble melodies and angular rhythms. Inspired by these compatriots, The Dead Gear chose to add the 'classic' TJ/Chad rave-up, "Ripping Through The Door" to their own repertoire in a characteristic attempt to cross-pollinate ideas amongst different crowds. Per usual, the Gear rearranged the tune to suit a darker mood and that rendition has finally been recorded/presented here so that once more, memories and ideas of the recent past may be shared.
